Effective 22 August 2026 · Dinah daily horoscope subscription

Dinah is a daily horoscope delivered by text message, provided by nativeMsg, Inc. (“nativeMsg”, “we”, “us”), which is the controller of the information described here.

This policy governs the Dinah messaging service and is complete in itself: what we collect when you text us, what we do with it, who else processes it, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted. Our postal address is at the bottom of this page.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

No mobile information — your phone number, your opt-in, or your consent — is ever shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party except the service providers listed below, who process it only to operate the service on our behalf and are contractually barred from using it for anything else.

1. What we collect, and why

InformationWhy we have itHow long we keep it
Your mobile number It is the service. We have no other way to send you a reading. While you are subscribed, and afterwards only in a suppression record so that we do not message you again.
Your date of birth, and if you choose to give them, your birth time and birth city To determine your star sign, to check that you are 18 or over, and — with a time and place — to produce a more specific reading. Until you ask us to delete it. Text DELETE and it goes immediately.
Your consent, including the date, time and the exact wording you were shown We are legally required to be able to demonstrate that you asked to receive these messages. At least three years, or one year after your subscription ends, whichever is longer.
Delivery preferences — your chosen send time and time zone To send your reading in your morning rather than ours. While you are subscribed.
Message activity — which buttons you tap, whether a message was delivered, and the messages you send us To keep the writing good, to honour keywords like STOP and HELP, and to notice when delivery breaks. Up to 24 months, then aggregated.
Referral source — a short code identifying which advertisement or link you arrived from To understand which of our own advertisements work. The code identifies the creative, not you, and is never shared. Up to 24 months, then aggregated.
Billing status — whether a payment succeeded, your plan, and a Stripe customer reference To run the subscription and to send you receipts. As long as required for tax and accounting purposes, generally seven years.

We never receive your card details. Payments are handled by Stripe, which collects your payment information directly. We receive only the outcome of a payment and a customer reference.

This website collects nothing. It has no analytics, no advertising tags, no third-party scripts and no cookies. Subscribing happens by text message, not through a form here.

2. Birth details are sensitive, and treated that way

Your birth date, birth time and birth city are information you volunteer, and we treat them as sensitive personal information. They are used solely to produce your reading. They are never sold, never shared for marketing, never used for advertising or profiling, and never used to infer anything about your health, your finances or any other protected characteristic.

Text DELETE at any time and we erase them. That takes effect immediately and cannot be undone; you would need to provide them again to receive a personalised reading. Deleting your birth details does not cancel your subscription — text STOP for that.

3. How we use information

We do not use your information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not profile you for advertising.

4. Who else processes your information

These are service providers acting on our instructions under written agreements. They may not use your information for their own purposes.

ProviderWhat they do
nativeMsg, Inc.Operates the service and the underlying messaging platform.
Stripe, Inc.Payment processing and subscription billing.
Google CloudHosting, databases and logging.
Anthropic, PBCThe model used to draft daily readings. Readings are drafted per star sign, not per person — your mobile number and birth details are not sent to it.
Your mobile carrier and the messaging ecosystemDelivers the messages, as with any text message.

We may also disclose information where required by law, subpoena or other legal process; to protect the rights, safety or property of nativeMsg or others; or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honour this policy and will notify you in the message thread if the change affects how your information is used.

5. What we never do

6. Your rights

We extend the following rights to every subscriber, regardless of where you live, rather than only where a state law compels it.

How to exercise them. Text DELETE for your birth details, or email help@heydinah.com for anything else. We will acknowledge within 10 days and respond within 45 days, extendable once by a further 45 days where necessary, and we will tell you if we need the extension. To protect you we will verify that a request comes from your mobile number before acting on it; we may ask you to confirm from the number itself.

Authorised agents. You may use an authorised agent to make a request. We will ask for written proof of their authority and may ask you to confirm it directly.

Global Privacy Control. This website contains no tracking technologies, so there is nothing for an opt-out preference signal to act upon. We honour such signals where they are applicable.

California residents may also request the categories of personal information disclosed for direct marketing purposes under the “Shine the Light” law. We make no such disclosures.

7. What we keep after you leave

When you text STOP we stop messaging you and cancel your subscription. We then retain a limited record: that you consented, the wording you agreed to, and that you opted out. We keep it for two reasons — we are required to be able to demonstrate we had permission to message you, and we must be able to ensure we never message you again by mistake. It is not used for any other purpose and is not shared.

Billing records are retained as long as tax and accounting law requires. Everything else is deleted or aggregated on the schedule in the table above. Residual copies may persist briefly in encrypted backups before being overwritten in the ordinary course.

8. Children

Dinah is for adults. We ask for your date of birth at signup and will not subscribe anyone whose date of birth shows they are under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 and do not sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has subscribed, email help@heydinah.com and we will delete the account and the information.

9. Security

Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is restricted to the people who need it to run the service, and administrative access is logged. No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your information we will notify you as the law requires.

10. Where the service operates

Dinah is offered only in the United States and information is processed in the United States. It is not directed to residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. If a change is material we will tell you in the message thread before it takes effect, rather than relying on you to revisit this page.
